You become who you surround yourself most of the time

“You become what you think about.” – Earl Nightingale

The people you hang around with on a constant basis influences some, if not all, of what you do. It’s human nature to do so.

Let me Explain.

For some reason, we humans crave attention. Whether it be big or small, as long as we have attention, we get off on it.

Thinking about it now, it’s actually pretty strange.

Us humans LOVE to be LOVED. It’s as simple as that. Being Loved is what we all crave for and it’s great.

We are social creatures who crave Contact and Love. Just like how babies who are not held or given any attention die, people go insane when kept in solitary confinement. That’s why it’s such an extreme form of punishment in prison.

Our drive to want to be Loved is sooooo strong, when not in the right groups, we can do stupid things just to fit in.

This “rule” applies to everyone. People follow trends so they can be accepted by society, they buy the latest fashions, the latest tech to fit in with the “in” crowd and even act the same so they’d feel accepted.

But Imagine if we could take that knowledge and apply it to productive and positive means.

What if I told you that by applying this simple fact about human nature, in the right way, you could dramatically change your whole life?

You start becoming the people you’re around!

You start speaking like them, laughing like them, you start walking and even scratching yourself like them!

It's much like being in Love. When you’re in Love you start picking up your partner’s way of speaking, you start copying their words, you even start seeing the way they see things too!

When you start surrounding yourself with people who have what you want, you’ll eventually and inevitably get whatever you want.

To change your life, that’s exactly what you have to do.

People who want to change the world eventually understand, if they don’t already do, they can’t change it all by themselves; especially in this era of interconnectivity.

That’s why people create masterminds.

For those who don’t know, a mastermind is:

a small group that you meet with for the purpose of reinforcing growth and success while offering support to one another; a group that has been identified and set aside to concentrate specifically on growth and manifesting success in the following areas; finances, spirituality, relationships,

Or in other words, people you meet with who help each other reach common goals in any areas of their lives. (An Innercircle

The Most successful people in the world have mastermind groups. They are all apart of some sort of society that are concentrated on common goals and help each other achieve them.

The most powerful people in the world understand this knowledge and now you do.

Surround yourself with the masters and those who want to be masters and you’ll become a master.

Make the only crowd you need to fit into be the one that will drive you to your ultimate goals. Make it to where you have no choice but to fit in and your basic nature to be Loved and accepted will do all of the work.

Make a Mastermind or Join one! That's one of the best and most powerful ways to achieve your goals.

How to be a Leader in the 21st century.

Our typical/ representation of what a leader is -is often an image of a “hero” who stands above, protecting and stepping in when something needs fixing.

Don’t be fooled.

A Leader in this day in age where everything is much faster, more ready available, connected, and constantly advancing is much different from the out dated version of what a leader has to be now.

So, how does one become a leader in the 21st century?

What are they doing differently to be Great Leaders?

There are 3 questions that one should ask her/him self in order to understand what it takes.

Where are you Looking to Anticipate change?

Great Leaders have a vision and with that vision comes self- awareness.

Great Leaders have “their eyes around the Corner, seeing what others don’t.

They begin asking questions and start to understand what’s happening to them and why.

For the most part, Leaders look at Business Models and more importantly their Life and begin to ask questions like:

Who are you spending time with?

What ideas do you talk about?

What are you reading?

How are you seeing the problems you’re experiencing and what are you doing to change it?

How ready are you?

Great Leaders stop blaming their circumstances and begin taking responsibility for them.

Most importantly, they CREATE circumstances, they don’t let circumstances create them.

What is the Diversity of Your Network?

Great Leaders Understand that having a more Diverse Network helps understand patterns and better solutions.

The reason is because everyone is different and think differently than you.

It’s simple and everyone knows that two heads are better than one.

Great leaders also have the capacity to create relationships with people who could be very different from themselves.  They can differ biologically, physically, politically, culturally, etc. But despite all of these differences they connect with you, trust you enough to cooperate to achieve a bigger goal.

Creating networks = Greater Achievements.

Are You Courageous Enough to Abandon the Past?

Are you going to keep doing what you’ve always done and get the same results that will keep you in the same place you’ve always been?

OR

Are you willing to punch fear in the face in order to do things you’ve never done (those things are normally uncomfortable at first) to get to places you’ve never been?

GREAT Leaders Dare to be Different.

The most obvious trait among them all is that they don’t talk about taking risks, they actually go out and take them in order to achieve their goals.

What holds everyone back is Fear.

The most powerful development occurs when you have built enough “ No Fucks Given” in you against people who are telling you your ideas are less than, stupid or naïve compared to theirs.

Leaders are sharpened and shaped by these three questions.

Great Leaders aren’t only for the exclusive few. Everyone who is willing to work for it and put themselves on the line become Great Leaders.

P.S: Know that the ones who join you aren't the "normies", they're usually the ones who think differently, like you.

  • Stand Out
  • Normal is Lame
  • Be Comfortable with the Uncomfortable

Don't be normal. Change the World, it's the best way to stand out in the 21st Century ;)

A belief is a Practiced Thought. It's such a practiced Thought that whenever you conjure up thoughts similar to what you believe, you easily slip right into that mindset. Your mind stops resistance towards the information it's just received and accepts it as truth. That truth then slaps itself onto the mountain of belief you've built over time. So, if your life isn't in the place you want it to be, evaluate how you see and approach life. Or in other words, "check yo self before you reck yo self!" love you all, Dan

Bill Nye Insults Waco, Texas! Whuuuuuuut?

To start, I want to say I'm not an Athiest and I'm not Religious.

What I do believe is that there is some information that children nowadays know as common knowledge. Such as how the moon shines because the Sun's light reflects off of it.

I knew that since Elementary school!

But Bill Nye managed to Offend Adults when he brought up that simple and common knowledge of the moon.

According to Morgan Matthew from thinkathiest.com:

"Nye was in town to participate in McLennan Community College's Distinguished Lecture Series. He gave two lectures on such unfunny and adult topics as global warming, Mars exploration, and energy consumption.

But nothing got people as riled as when he brought up Genesis 1:16, which reads: "God made two great lights -- the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars."

The lesser light, he pointed out, is not a light at all, but only a reflector.

At this point, several people in the audience stormed out in fury. One woman yelled "We believe in God!" and left with three children, thus ensuring that people across America would read about the incident and conclude that Waco is as nutty as they'd always suspected."

It's odd that something like this would happen.

I mean, they don't believe the moon is also made of cheese right?

... do they?
